Jason Radovzki

“I never thought I was ready to earn my Gold Seal Certification, but my employers believed in me and pushed me to try, they were behind me 100% of the way.”

Jason Radovzki, GSC, Health and Safety Consultant, TRH Group

Jason is proof that persevering through your self-doubt will allow you to achieve great things.

Jason is a Health and Safety Consultant, who works predominantly in high rise construction. His role includes working with a general contractor and a large part of his responsibilities includes conducting new worker and management orientations as new subcontractors arrive on site. He also does workplace inspections, prevention through refreshing workers on proper legislation surrounding the activity workers were doing. Worst case scenarios in his day include accident investigations.

“I was fortunate. My uncle is a Health and Safety professional, and while I was in high school he would tell me stories about his day-to-day activities. The more he spoke about it, the more I began to develop an interest in the industry itself. No two days are the same, you get to work with all levels of workers, and you’re respected. I was fortunate to have discovered what I wanted to do very early in my life, and to have my uncle’s help to guide me along the way. He stressed the importance to education.”

Jason discovered Gold Seal Certification through his employment with the TRH Group. His employers encouraged him, and in April 2015 Jason earned his Gold Seal Certification. His biggest obstacle was just trying to move past his self-doubt. “The Gold Seal Certification was always something I wanted to do. It’s something I wanted to do as part of my career. I’m the type of person who takes what they do very seriously and Gold Seal was something I wanted under my belt.”

Jason describes some of the benefits he’s felt since earning his certification include being recognized nationally of a higher level of competency, and being an asset to both his employer and the clients to which he’s assigned.

“It seems impossible until it’s done. Believe in yourself, get through it and challenge the exam.”
