Stand up for Canada’s future. Ensure action is taken to Build a Better Canada.

One final push
With only four days left in the federal election campaign, we have one last chance to make ourselves heard. The Canadian construction industry employs 1.4 million people across Canada. United, we can be a strong voice for a brighter and better future for all Canadians. That is why it is important that members from across the country get out and vote. Ensure that infrastructure investment is a priority of the newly elected government. Now is your chance to add your voice to the Canadian Construction Association’s (CCA) advocacy campaign Invest in Canada. Invest in Canadians. Invest in Infrastructure.
A statistical tie
The last week has been positive for the Liberals in terms of voting intentions, bringing them back to a statistical tie with the Conservatives at 31.7 per cent and 31.2 per cent respectively (CBC Poll Tracker, Sept 17, 2021). If these numbers are reflected in Monday’s results, it is likely that the Liberals will be re-elected. Projections shows a 59 per cent probability for the Liberals to form the next government, but only a 12 per cent probability to secure a majority. However, Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party of Canada has doubled in support since the beginning of the campaign and is now in a tie with the Bloc Québecois. This represents 6.2 per cent of voters that could traditionally be supporting the Conservatives. If Bernier’s supporters fear a Trudeau victory and change their minds at the polling stations, this could allow Erin O’Toole to pull through with a win.
