FOCUS on Best Practices

Know your documents with CCDC Document Webinars

If you have questions about contract documents, the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) wants to help. Join the authors for a lesson in the fundamentals by attending an upcoming CCDC Document Webinar. The winter schedule has just been released.

Webinar on CCDC 31

Calling all engineers! Join CCDC as they host a webinar on CCDC 31 – 2020 Service Contract Between Owner and Consultant in English on January 27 and in French on February 23. The CCDC 31 authors will explain this new CCDC contract form, the roles and responsibilities of the owner and consulting engineers, as well as the scope and remuneration of professional services offered by consulting engineers.

Webinar on CCDC 21 & CCDC 41

February’s webinar will be on CCDC 21 – 2016 A Guide to Construction Insurance and CCDC 41 – 2020 Insurance Requirements. Join the authors as they explain the many aspects of both documents, beginning with insurance requirements in CCDC contract forms. They will explain the types of policies necessary to comply with such requirements, specifically when there may be a need to require broader or different coverage to the minimum standard insurance provisions. Listen for practical tips on critical insurance issues, including the selection of insurance representatives, claims process, and subrogations.
