CCA’s new Insight report explores advancements in construction
The most recent edition of CCA’s Insight report: Innovation and R&D in construction takes a deep dive into the world of Construction 4.0, focusing on Building Information Modeling (BIM), the Internet of Things (IoT), drones, and 3D printing.

KPMG in Canada and CCA’s joint 2021 survey of Canadian construction firms found that 82 per cent of respondents had either implemented or planned to implement IoT sensors.
The report includes a special insert from KPMG in Canada, “Execution efficiency: Better project delivery through technology,” which explores IoT and applications such as wearables and exo-skeletons that may result in improved labour productivity.
