What is CCDC?
Founded in 1974, the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC), is a national joint committee responsible for the development, production and review of standard Canadian construction contracts, forms and guides. It is composed of volunteers representing:
- Public sector owners
- Private sector owners
- Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada*
- Canadian Construction Association*
- Construction Specifications Canada*
- Royal Architectural Institute of Canada*
- Canadian Bar Association (ex-officio)
*The four constituent national organizations direct and approve committee policies and procedures.

CCDC documents are regarded as industry standards. They are based on the principles of fairness and balance for all parties involved in a construction project.
