The Berkeley Retirement Residence
The Berkeley Retirement Residence project, by Marco Group Limited, is one of two active Gold Seal Certified projects designated in Nova Scotia. Work began on The Berkeley in June 2019 and completion is expected in January 2021.
This new retirement residence is Marco’s first project for The Berkeley. The six-storey building will contain 76 rooms, with a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. It will also include 20 memory-care rooms to accommodate residents with dementia. Like all Berkeley residences, the building is within walking distance of amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants, health clinics and pharmacies. When complete, it will provide residents with the convenience of retirement living in an apartment with included services and the benefit of an onsite health care professional 24-hours a day.
