Building Equality
Building Equality is an alliance of construction consultants, engineers, developers, contractors, and institutions who are passionate about working together and harnessing their collective power to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion in the construction, engineering and built environment industry. It includes 60+ organisations from the industry and across the UK that regularly participate in joint initiatives to support LGBTQ+ inclusion. Includes toolbox talks, webinars and other resources. Association de la construction du Québec
Integration and retention of women on construction sites
Integrating women in the construction industry is a challenge that the Association de la construction du Québec is proudly working to significantly improve. Our initiatives include the establishment in June 2013 of a committee dedicated exclusively to the issue of integration and retention of women on construction sites. This committee has enabled the implementation of several concrete actions in support of contractors’ efforts in this area.

The Integrating Newcomers (IN) program is a government-funded, free, nationwide employment coaching service for skilled immigrants looking to transition careers to the construction industry in Canada – before moving here.
The Builders Code
The Builders Code is intended to help construction employers communicate a reasonable, consistent behavior expectation to improve the safety, productivity and retention of skilled tradespeople, and reduce project risk.
The program offers a pledge, policy templates, on-line training and a mobile app, advisors, and a recognition program.

Respectful and Inclusive Workplace Toolkit
The Respectful and Inclusive Workplace Toolkit was developed with input from industry and offers the support needed to assist the construction and maintenance industry in creating a respectful and welcoming workplace for everyone.
The Toolkit includes and on-line assessment tool, a policy framework and an on-line course.

A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the Faculty of Native Studies that explores Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada and is available at no cost through an open audit option.
From an Indigenous perspective, this course explores key issues facing Indigenous peoples today from a historical and critical perspective highlighting national and local Indigenous-settler relations.
