CCA Partner Association
The CCA Partner Association Award of Excellence was created in 1992 in memory of Jake Thygesen. The award recognizes CCA integrated partner associations who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in industry enhancement (through lobbying, government relations, etc.), education and member recruitment.
During his year as CCA Chair, Jake Thygesen was a firm believer in the association’s success being directly linked to the success of its individual partner associations.
Construction Association of Nova Scotia
Advocating on key issues crucial to their members’ success, CANS works hard to improve industry standards and best practices, tackling prompt payment, apprenticeship ratios, building permit issuance and more. CANS is not just an advocate; it's a catalyst for a skilled and thriving workforce, launching its newest event, the Construction Workforce Summit, which, in addition to the education sessions for employers, welcomed 430 curated job seekers from construction-related education programs, equity groups, workforce industry groups, immigration streams and connector programs.
